  That's a very popular piece. It was originally the 2nd movement of a string quartet but he rearranged it for string orchestra. Very clever piece of writing.

  Very moving piece of music. Remember first coming across it at University when we had to watch the film Platoon (History - Vietnam). The monologue at the end made the hair at the back of my neck stand on end - made more moving because the words were spoken over Adagio for Strings.
